Allergy Treatment Options

Allergies can be effectively managed through avoidance strategies, medications, immunotherapy, or a combination of these methods. After a thorough evaluation of your symptoms, Dr. Schleiffarth and our allergy team will develop a personalized treatment plan for you. This plan may include immunotherapy, with options for allergy shots or sublingual (under-the-tongue) drops.

Allergy symptoms can range from mild nuisances, such as a runny nose, to severe or even life-threatening conditions. To accurately diagnose and treat your allergies, we conduct a variety of allergy tests.

Allergy Shots

Injections for Immunotherapy

We provide allergy shots as a targeted immunotherapy option. Based on your allergy test results, we customize your allergy shots to address your specific allergens.

  • Allergy shots are administered in our clinic every 4 to 10 days.
  • The frequency can decrease once a safe maintenance level is reached.

Sublingual Immunotherapy

“Shot-Free” Treatment – Drops Under the Tongue

  • Sublingual allergy drops are a safe, effective, and convenient alternative to allergy shots. This treatment is suitable for patients of all ages, including young children.
  • You can take the drops home and place a few drops under your tongue once per day.
  • The drops are formulated with a small concentration of allergens, customized according to your allergy test results.

Our goal is to provide flexible, effective solutions to help you manage and relieve your allergy symptoms.
